Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET)

This is the development of technical and vocational education to boost skills required for employment generation. A skills gap analysis is conducted and used to determine the type of training. Trainings include digital literacy, solar energy, water supply and sanitation facilities, telephone repair. Another component is the Agricultural Technical Vocational Education Training (ATVET), this includes training in agricultural value chain development such as cassava flour, plantain flour, cashew processing, oil palm processing etc. One area of interest is to promote gender equality using the Gender-Transformative Change in ATVET to focus on capacitating women working in agriculture to improve productivity and processing through formal, non-formal and informal competency-based training along selected agricultural value chain.
